Putting doors together in my 356 B. Was wondering if anyone would or wouldn't pit a dynamant like sound deading in the doors,,, Would it make a difference, sound, way the doors sound when they close, etc... Its a numbers matching car so I have be going as original

as possible but have used the product in the floor pans under the carpet....

Not me if it was my car. The 356 Ive had over the years Ive tried to keep absolutely the way they came out of the factory.

I would imagine it would make some difference, but hard to tell without trying it... Also not completely irreversible if you decide to sell someday...

Discussed using this material with the fellow doing the work on my ‘63 cab during it’s restoration process. He answered with a surprised look on his face and said; “Really, you think you will make the car quieter by using this stuff... It’s a cabriolet, never going to be quiet.”

As others have suggested, keep it simple, get the work completed, get it on the road and drive it! Have fun in your 356!

What do you plan to do with it? If you plan to drive it often, enjoy it, and keep it a long time (maybe pass down to the kids) I see no reason not to add sound deadener. I've done the same to my old restored 356 (now sold) and a couple of little British cars I restored. You coupe is not a cab and yes, you will notice some (not a ton) of noise reduction. As one responder noted, it is reversible. Plus you've already put it under the floor mats so it's not like your coupe is as virgin as the driven snow. Don't get too balled up in the pursuit of perfection unless your coupe is special in some way that makes it extraordinarily valuable or your name is Jerry Seinfeld. These are, at the end of the day, just cars. Fungible goods. A device to get you from point A to point B. Good luck and enjoy.........

Won't stop the wind noise especially in summer with the window down.
