Default Emory Oates 356 paint color?

I believe i read somewhere that it's painted the graphite grey of the 50th anniv 911. Can someone suggest how to get this paint code as I would like to use it on an Austin Healey 3000 restoration. Thanks.

And I frankly can’t blame them because they make money by finishing projects not by entertaining people who will never invest in their work

So if anyone in this community can provide a code preferably in PPG or glasurit that I can start with that would be helpful

^^^^I would have expected these shops to welcome your requests. A simple paint code could have led to future interest and purchases. Go figure.

Sorry if I was misleading. To be clear I am not speaking of Emory specifically. They seem like a wonderful shop. I haven’t called them and can’t find their number. I have visited singer and they were incredibly gracious with their time.

My point was that they aren’t in business to help some guy trying to paint an Austin Healey so I wouldnt expect any extra effort

i’m just looking for a paint code and figured an enthusiast forum would be a good start rather than cutting into someone’s workday

Willhoit sells spray-out cards of almost all 356 colors. I bet they would be happy to help. They don't need more business particularly- they are always very busy.

cant find a number for Emory

Willhoit picked up the phone and claims the owner just sprayed his own car in the very color I am chasing down

however they look quite different to me

i want the dark muddy grey appearance if the Oates car and the wilhoit car (while beautiful) appears to be brighter much like the actual Healey beige metallic gold color that I don’t want

or am I just not seeing it correctly? As a kid I colored my rivers purple and dogs red so I don’t exactly trust my eyes

want this

Not this

Trying to avoid this

C2C2: Achatgrau uni is from the 50th car. See this discussion: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/7844...n-99-50-a.html

Glasurit lists it as Graphit Met 537 or 5403 if it's a 1954-55 color.
