Yeah I'm not spending $45 to get that answer From what I can tell you can't post without being a member and I don't own a 356.

Looks like a grill badge. There is a huge amount of info regarding accessories and more at http://derwhites356literature.com/. Unfortunately, Charlie White has now passed, but I think the 356 Registry is facilitating leaving his site up permanently.

Nothing on Charlie's site that is for free and I can't find anywhere you can buy his book now so I guess I will have to contact the curators of his site.

I bet it's an aftermarket badge from 50's or 60's before Porsche clamped down on others using their logo.

I found a couple other examples online (one on ebay for $60), but no specific info on who made it or sold it.
