Default 356C - another advice thread

Hey Guys
1st time on this side, have a cayman R and been thinking about 356 for a while.

Now there is one local to me
http://tnydu.biz/DOvR5q

This is around $63k, price seems good but have no real idea what to look for or what could be a huge trap besides the online buying guides.

Any recommendations? Will probably see the car later this week.

thanks

Here is a link to PPI checklist: If up to date very reliable and fun but just about opposite of Cayman. https://porsche356registry.org/article/245 No safety, no power, no AC, But oh so beautiful. I have 2 65 C's one restored numbers matching and one an Outlaw with built 912 motor.

wrong carbs, wrong painted engine tin- so #s matching could be a little suspicious. Looks like an ok driver. I wouldn't pay more than $50k USD

Also appears to have alternator instead of generator and has earlier style oil filler can. That all suggests a pieces/parts engine.

Buying a 356 when you don't have expertise will very likely be an expensive mistake. Signs from the pictures that this car has been worked over by people who don't know what they are doing.

It seems the car is in Dubai. Probably not very many knowledgeable locals. You don't have many good options here.
