356 Replica Rental in Maui

Just got back from Maui. While the wife and I were there we discovered a little rental operation for 356 speedster replicas called Maui Roadsters. After sorting out the insurance we rented Mano for a 6 hour block and took a tour through the countryside.
We were given a map of nice winding roads and vistas with lots of interesting stops on the way. It was probably the highlite of the trip for me. Great little cars, lots of fun on the mountain roads and a nice way to meet people as they all flocked to the car. I can only imagine how much fun the road to Hana must be in these.
I didn't think to ask who manufactured the replica's but they were in good shape given they're rented daily and treated like it. I couldn't get over how foreign the shifter felt, it was not easy finding gears at times, especially the 3-2 downshift. Not sure if that is a quirk of this particular car or representative, but either way, lots of fun.
I did a search to see if anyone else had used the service and was suprised that there was no mention (or I fail at searching). Just wanted to put it out there as I often look for fun rentals when I'm away on vacation and though others might benefit from knowing. I thought it a great way to explore the island and the owners were class acts.
Highly recommended!

Ive been to Maui a few times now and have always wanted to rent one of those. Always manage to see them cruising around while there.
What was the cost if you dont mind me asking?

^ bingo.
If you haven't yet, look at the road to Hana. We stayed in a hotel in Hana so did the drive twice in a Jeep. 50+ miles, 600+ curves. Amazing drive if you like windy roads. I would have loved to have done it in one of these roadsters.
Never driven the original so can't compare, defintely felt simple!

Man I rode in the back of a mini van during a family trip as a young adult on the road to Hana. Got car sick for the first time in my life on that road. I think I owe it to myself to go back and do it this way!
