oil pressure warning
About 3 weeks ago, I was driving home from work, ~35 mph, just a normal cruise. Heard a chime and noticed an oil pressure warning, and saw that the gauge read 0! Before I could pull over, within about 4 or 5 seconds, gauge popped back up and warning went away.
Have driven the car every day since, no issue, until yesterday, same thing happened. When gauge needle popped back up from 0, it seemed normal except occasionally would peg above the top (5) mark.
Has anyone had experience with the pressure sensor failing? I can't believe that I am really losing pressure temporarily like that.
Car is a 2002 C4S with 70K on it. Oil level is full.

These sensors are JUNK and they belong to something in WWII...
Ours are similar to this one. See how mechanical and delicate it is?
