Want Some Detailed Troubleshooting Info on the 928?

I love a good build thread, and I have a real soft spot for Porsches with front mounted engines (yell at me later). So when I was running through Rennlist‘s 928 forum, I was pretty pumped to find AirtekHVAC’s thread from a while back about a 1982 928 he picked up in North Carolina.

The Porsche is white with Cork interior, and it has the 5-speed manual transmission. It’s an OK looker, with a cheap second coat of paint outside, and all of the seats are in salvageable condition. It also runs, just not well. Overall it seems like a solid project for someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, and AirtekHVAC is certainly not afraid to get his hands dirty.

Over the thread’s four pages, there are several in-depth discussions about problems with the car, and how he has managed to fix them. From issues with vacuum lines, to potential jumped timing and distributor adjustments, there is a lot of good info in this thread.

I have a 944 sitting in the driveway, and seeing threads like this helps to keep pushing me to fix the various issues on my own car. So keep it up AirtekHVAC, I am rooting for you!
