Porsche Macan and BMW M2 Fight It out on Track

The cute and sleek Porsche Macan isn’t exactly what most Porsche purists would call, a “track star.” Yet, the Macan sports all of Porsche’s latest transmission, engine, and turbo technology, which means it can’t be that bad on the track — right?

The Auto Express video below matches two very different vehicles with two very different purposes, the Porsche Macan Turbo and the new and very hot BMW M2. One was designed to carry the family in style and luxury, while the other was meant to shred the rear tires and corner like a madman. Yet, once these two are put head-to-head on a racetrack, the results are quite surprising.

The M2’s ability to dance through the corners and rocket down the straights would make everyone think it’s the clear winner, but the Macan Turbo’s massive horsepower and all-wheel drive allow it to smash the curves and light it up on the straights.
