If you’ve never heard of Strosek, don’t worry, neither did I before researching this story. Strosek was once a famed car designer, up there with the likes of Bertone, Giugiaro, and Pininfarnia. The company began life as a tuner/coach builder, but quickly became one of the most well-respected designers around. Strosek was even invited to help Lamborghini design the next generation Diablo.

However, the design house was particularly interested in everything Stuttgart, as you can see from this fine example. What we have here is a Porsche 964 Speedster that’s been thoroughly enhanced by Strosek. Originally, only 936 964 Speedsters were built, and only 15 of those were modified by Strosek and became what you see here. The custom exterior features a wide-body kit, 17-inch three-piece OZ wheels, new headlights, and a few other custom pieces. What wasn’t touched was the 964’s 3.6-liter air-cooled boxer engine, which still churns out 274 horsepower.

Currently, this car is coming up for auction at Bonhams and is expected to fetch a final price between $180,000-$220,000. However, due to the Porsche market being absolutely nutty lately, it could easily go for quite a bit more.
