With the popularity of performance off-roaders on an all-time high, the Singer Porsche 911 ACS may be iconic for the American atelier.

Singer is responsible for crafting some of the most coveted Porsche 911 restomods the world has ever seen. The company has now unveiled a new and unique reproduction of the glorious nameplate that celebrates 911’s rallying heritage. Singer Vehicle Design’s prototype is called the 911 All-terrain Competition Study(ACS).

The car has been developed in collaboration with Tuthill Porsche, which is a UK-based 911 rallying specialist. The car was commissioned by a customer who intends to race 911 ACS in off-road events and has even commissioned a tarmac-going version of the race car.

The 911 ACS sports beautiful proportions even with its purpose-built rally car styling. The car features a carbon-intensive construction, and the front-end of the prototype is dominated by a pair of large rubber mud flaps. The car has been raised for easy access to the underbody, and the wheel arches have been flared to accommodate the giant off-road wheels.

Singer ACS rides on 16-inch forged alloy wheels that have been wrapped in BF Goodrich off-road tires. Each wheel also gets a pair of 5-way adjustable dampers and runs a 4-piston caliper steel brake setup. The rear-end flaunts a giant spoiler that pays tribute to the iconic Porsche 959 Safari. Singer ACS is an immaculately crafted machine, and a perfect example of Singer’s craftsmanship is the rear bumper, which has been carved out of a single aluminum piece.

Singer Vehicle Design used a 1990 Porsche 964 as a donor car for the ACS. The 3.6-liter flat-six motor has been retuned to produce 450 HP of maximum power thanks to a twin-turbocharger setup. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed sequential transmission that can be operated by either a lever or the flappy paddle controls.

The power is sent to all four corners courtesy of a full-time AWD system, and Singer has confirmed that the engine of the ACS can be tuned to produce more power if needed. The Standard 964 fuel tank has been swapped with a long-range unit. Considering that the popularity of utility vehicles and performance off-roaders is at an all-time high, Singer’s 911 ACS might prove to be an important milestone for the American atelier.
