Not all news in 2022 was good. On March 13, 2022, Porsche racing legend Vic Elford passed away. He was 86 years old. Elford won the Monte Carlo Rally, 24 Hours of Daytona, the Targa Florio and more behind the wheel of a Porsche. He raced several Porsche cars including a 911 S, a 911 T and even a 907 LH. He raced many other cars as well, but he was most closely associated with Porsche. ‘Quick Vic’ will be missed.
Joe has been obsessed with cars since he got his very first Matchbox toy in the ‘70s. In 2003, he found a new obsession in track days that led to obtaining his SCCA competition license in 2015. In 2019, he became a certified driving instructor for the National Auto Sport Association.
