Video Episodes to Feature Interviews with Famous Porsche Lovers

The Petersen Automotive Museum has launched a new Porsche-focused video series celebrating people and icons who helped make the Porsche brand in America. Presented by Mobil 1 ‘We Are Porsche’ features key icons of the automotive and entertainment industries who played a part in Porsche’s success in the United States.

The dynamic story-telling series follows after a rally and experience at Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7. It will focus on the personal stories of some of the world’s most renowned Porsche enthusiasts. Viewers can expect a new episode to drop every two weeks on the museum’s website, YouTube channel and social media.

Video Series will Focus Famous Porsche Owners

Upcoming episodes will feature the likes of third generation custom builder Rod Emory, who developed a unique blend of Porsche modifications with the help of his entire enthusiast family. Two-time Le Mans 24 Hour race winner Patrick Long’s Luftgekühlt is meanwhile the most followed air-cooled Porsche movement.

Chad and Chase McQueen, son and grandson Porsche legend Steve, share the old man’s Porsche story. The original outlaw, Chris Banning earned his King of the Mountain rep by being fastest on Mulholland Drive. Jeff Zwart is a Porsche enthusiast photographer, director and cinematographer.

Actor, director, martial artist Daniel Wu’s love for Porsche started as a child when his father asked him to choose the color of his first Porsche. And Petersen Automotive Museum chair is Bruce Meyer a legendary a car collector.

Series is Key to Porsche History

“Sharing the stories behind automotive enthusiasts who have shaped the industry and the Porsche brand is key to preserving the history,” Petersen Executive Director Terry L. Karges explains. “This series will tell stories of those influenced by the Porsche marque.”
