You don’t need to drink any spirits to become intoxicated with this gorgeous nod to Porsche racing history.

Of the many motorsports liveries that have graced our eyeballs over the years, none compare to the legendary Martini Racing duds. No matter which car or team those unmistakable stripes adorn, there’s no denying how amazing they look. And even now, 56 years since the very first Martini car, enthusiasts can’t get enough of that iconic look. Which is why we were immediately enthralled with this Martini-endowed Porsche 918 we spotted at CNC Exotics.

Martini, of course, graced the flanks of many different brands. But it has a special relationship with Porsche, which makes this 918 even more notable. The brand’s stickers first appeared on a 910 back in 1968, then on a pair of 907s. But it was the 1970s when the duo cemented their relationship. A Martini-sponsored Porsche 917 won Le Mans in 1971. And Porsche’s 936 followed up with victories in 1976 and 1977.

So it would make sense that Porsche would offer an optional Martin livery on its groundbreaking hybrid supercar. And it’s also no surprise that at least a handful of the 918’s 297 lucky buyers opted for said package. Yet, you rarely see such cars offered for sale anywhere. A Weissach-equipped white Martini Porsche 918 has been up for grabs several times now, but it sports a hefty $2.2 million dollar price tag.

Does that make our black beauty a bargain at $1.75 mil? Well, depending on how many zeroes you have in your bank account balance, perhaps. Personally, we’ll just leave such questions to those with the means and simply appreciate this amazing Porsche 918 for what it is. And that’s a beautiful reminder of one of the more important times in Porsche motorsports history.
