Le Mans Countdown: Experience 360-Degree Lap in a Porsche 919

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is going to keep diehard race and Porsche enthusiasts up all night and glued to their TVs. Others feel it’s mandatory for every true automotive lover to make the trip to France to experience the endurance race at least once in their lifetime. For those that can’t make the trip to the glorious Circuit de la Sarthe, Porsche put out a must-see 360-degree video of a winning LMP1 car tearing up the track.

Marc Lieb, a Porsche factory driver that helped pilot the Porsche 919 Hybrid to a victory at last year’s running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, returns once again in the LMP1 car to give everyone a close-up look at the track and to show just how blindingly fast the cars are when pushed to their maximum performance power.
Lieb narrates the entire clip, providing some in-depth information on the corners that only an experienced driver could supply.
Hearing the V4 turbocharged engine hum while the hybrid powertrain churns away is fascinating. And Lieb’s commentary makes this the perfect video to get hyped for the 85th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
