2005 Porsche Carrera GT

One of the rarest Porsche Carrera GTs in North America is up for sale and flaunts a rich Seal Grey Metallic paint job.

Not only is the Porsche Carrera GT one of the most beautifully designed cars in the world, but it is also one of the best driver’s cars of all time. Safe to say, every single time one of these cars hits the market, it causes quite a splash in the collector car circuit. Recently a near-pristine condition 2005 Porsche Carrera GT was listed for sale on duPont Registry.

Online supercar auctions company Sackey & Co. presents the car we have here, which only has 1,012 miles on the odometer. The car sports a glistening Seal Grey Metallic paint job. As a result, this particular example is one of only 64 examples that Porsche built for North America. This special paint job contains gold and blue flecks, which give the car its distinct color.

According to the auction site, this 2005 Porsche Carrera GT is in its stock spec and has no modifications. The buyer will also get a wide range of OEM ancillaries, which include hardtop covers, keys, full OEM luggage set, extra seat pads, books, car cover, tools, original airbag warning sticker, and hardtop straps.

Prospective buyers will have to contact Sackey & Co. directly to inquire about the price of this Seal Grey Carrera GT.

However, we don’t expect this low-mileage Carrera GT with its rare livery to sell for cheap. Earlier last month, a Guards Red Carrera GT sold for $190,2000, which had just 780 miles on the odometer. A 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V10 powerplant propels this Porsche Carrera GT. The supercar’s 6-speed manual transaxle sends power to the rear wheels with the help of a twin-plate ceramic clutch.

Sackey & Co. also reports that the clutch plate of this ’05 Carrera GT was measured at 30.7 mm when the car was only driven 884 miles. Carrera GT’s motor could churn out 603 HP of maximum power in its factory-tune and 435 lb-ft of peak torque. As a result, this analog supercar could hit the 62 MPH mark from a complete standstill in just 3.9 seconds. The car’s top speed was rated at 208 MPH, which is impressive even by today’s standards.
