I'm not sure if this is the right crowd, just wanted to share a very unique and affordable collectible 914. This is a car that I have known since 1995 when it was in the last Manhattan Concours circle, as the best 914 in the country. This car has been on numerous magazine and book covers featuring the 914. The owner at the time searched for the best original 2.o that he could find, then made every detail as perfect as possible in order to win at the Parade level. It has been repainted in original color of Delphi Green, which was a special order color for the 914, and pretty much flawless in every detail.
The car resurfaced and was brought out of storage a few years ago, with all of the requisite brake, fuel, tire, maintenance etc work needed to make the car road worthy again at that time. I have not used the car other than starting it regularly and keeping it stored in a climate controlled facility with other collectibles. It is a very low mile, very nicely prepared car that is drivable and appropriate for tours or local Concours competition.
It is time to let this special 914 go, I hope someone will be able to enjoy it as I just don't have the time. As the best year of the 914 with very low mileage and high level of detail, this car is sure to appreciate and is an affordable collectible Porsche with great upside.

Wow! This car takes me back. I had a friend in high school that had one of these in white and it drove like it was on rails. Not much on power but man was it fun. This is certainly an amazing example.

Link works fine for me.

Always had a soft spot for these cars. Love the period green.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, nice to see RL has a soft spot for vintage Porsches too
To answer a few questions, yes this is the original mileage, and it was a show car, yes this is the original color but it has been repainted (in early 1990's) once, yes a lot of mechanical work has been done to bring it out of hibernation. Delphi was a special color, you had to special order it. No, it needs nothing that I am aware of.

I "might" consider Porsche trades depending on the car. Happy Easter everyone!

If you're not on there already, then you might want to post it FS on 914world.com & 914club.com - both are free to join & to list, & they hit 924ers worldwide. Also post an intro of yourself in the Garage Forums of each, so you get a post count & off of lurker category (ads don't count), with a link to your ad in each's Classifieds.

While I'd love to see $50k valuations on our `73-74 914-2.0's for my own resto, you should also check pricing & condition levels relative to your at the Hagerty website, as you may be a bit ahead of the curve - & be brutally objective &/or get 3rd parties to rate current condition for you, by reading their #1-5 definitions closely & applying them strictly - as Hagerty or buyers would (maybe PCA concours judges in your area).

I can guaranty that sometime after you sell it, you'll be kicking yourself - so maybe think long & hard about this sale!

You know, there is a good group of 914ers in your area, & they do an Okteenerfest every Fall!

GLWS & Cheers!

PS - make that it's one of the best yearS & models of 914/4's - Both 73 & 74 914-2.0!

Copy that, thanks Tom! Well familiar with Hagerty and PCA judging, and yes this is the right model 914 to own.
