I have a very rare E30 M3 EVO2 in Macau Blue with the EVO2 specific plaid and grey leather interior. The EVO2 is one of 500 cars made as an evolution model so they could incorporate changes for DTM racing.
The Engine is EVO2 specific and has 220hp vs 195, with EVO2 higher compression pistons, bigger cam, intake, manifold and mapping. The engine is painted white, red and blue motorsports colors.
The gearbox is the euro, dogleg, close-ratio 5 speed.
The exterior is distinguished from normal M3s with its EVO2 front and rear spoiler, and cooling ducts instead of fog lamps. It also comes in euro motorsports color Macau Blue, which in some light looks navy blue and in other light has a slight violet to it.
The interior is EVO2 specific with plaid cloth centers and grey leather bolsters, sill plates, footrest and plaque with the number of 500 on the dash. The interior of my car looks well cared for in a 98,000 mile car, with slight wear to the fabric and light bolster wear. The driver's side bolster was re-upholstered.
The car was hit on the passenger quarter panel at some point and the panel was replaced. The EVO2 had a cosmetic restoration in Europe in 2012, and the previous owner spent about $15,000 on the repaint, which included replacing the windows, which had rock chips and scratches. The only flaw is that the rocker panels should have originally been repainted with a more matte finish, a common mistake.
After I imported the car and getting it titled, I spent a year restoring the suspension, brakes and tuning the engine, as well as perfecting areas of the paint job that were not good enough for me. Now the car is in excellent shape, with great paint and in fine mechanical condition. Please feel free to inspect and have a PPI. The car is in my dad's garage in San Diego with a Nevada title.
These EVO2s are becoming almost impossible to find. In the last 2 years collectors have been buying them all up and locking them away in collections. The last one I saw for sale in Europe was 89,000 euros. I put a screen shot of it in the ebay ad. Then you have to transport and ship and transport and title, which cost around $6,000 plus whatever mechanical work is necessary, which in this case was extensive.
You may contact me through this forum or through eBay where the car is listed:
