This is the 924 body style which Porsche souped up with the 944 engine.
Lighter, better aerodynamics, and faster than the 944.
Here is a short description of the Porsche 924s:
1987 [MSRP $19,900]
Though it's called a 924, this car is physically a 1984 944 without fender flares.
Introduced into the market as an "attainable" Porsche, by reviving the 924 body with the 944 drivetrain.
Condition of the car:
EXTERIOR:
• This car was repainted in 2011 (with original L90E white). Looks amazing.
• Rims were repainted in spring '13 with a grey metallic.
• Goodyear Eagle GT's have less than 500 miles on them.
• Full width tail lights w/ Porsche in rear
• Windshield replaced in spring of '12
• Side "Porsche" vinyl added after repaint
• Brake calipers painted red
INTERIOR:
• Porsche stitching across seats, cloth and vinyl in perfect condition throughout.
• Floor mats have red Porsche name in center with red trim. All carpets are in great condition.
• Blaupunkt Toronto 420 BT radio installed in spring '13 (CD, Bluetooth, USB)
• All 4 speakers replaced at same time as head unit
MECHANICAL:
• Strong engine and gearbox (gearbox swapped out between '05-'10).
• Thoroughly gone through and inspected spring '13.
o Timing belt change
o Electrical fans replaced
o Coolant hoses replaced
o Fuel lines in hatch replaced
o Leaky power steering line replaced
• A/C works great, blows super cold.
• Intermittent oil leak which spots garage floor (believed to be from seal on oil pump).
• K&N air filter
• New front brake pads and rotors in fall '12
• New rear brake pads, rotors, parking brake pads, and rebuilt calipers in 2011
Extras:
Spare oil filter for next change (last change was spring '13)
4 spare brake pads
All receipts have been kept since 2011 to prove any work done since then.
