Default Aftermarket catalytic converters... new or used. Suggestions?

I have a Fabspeed exhaust with cat bypass pipes sitting around in my garage waiting for an install. I also bought the O2 extenders with minicats that Fabspeed sells, so theoretically I should not get a CEL, but call me green or environmentally conscious... and if you don't believe that, call me pragmatic...but I'm now thinking that instead of running the bypass pipes and O2 extenders, I'd rather just run cats and keep it completely legal. So, I'm looking to source some cats that will be compatible with an aftermarket exhaust system, and particularly the Fabspeed Maxflow exhaust.

HJS seems to be the brand that most people run, but I'm not picky. Honestly, the biggest concern for me is price, rather than power output. I know that running the bypass and a tune opens up a ton of power, but I don't race, so that's not really important to me at this point. I'm open to buying something used if anyone has something laying around, or if you want to trade for the bypass pipes, plus cash on my end, that's something I'm open to doing as well. In the event I can't find someone willing to sell or trade, where did you guys purchase your aftermarket cats from?

HJS (Emitec) 5.2" 100cell Motorsport race cats. About $1000 each from HJS.

I'd contact Fabspeed and ask for 200 cell HJS cats.. The 200 cell units are required to prevent CEL and CAT inefficiency codes.

Just run the fabspeed catless bypass, let the prius drivers worry about their emission outputs

At $1K per cat, I can definitely say I'm tempted to just do that! Or better yet, sell the exhaust to someone willing to run catless and start over buying an exhaust that already has cats... or just running the stock exhaust. I wanted an exhaust for a better sound, not for more power. Not sure how much that is worth to me.

IMO these car are pretty quite with muffler/cats. I would say run exhaust with mufflers and no cats or cats and no mufflers. the stock exhaust is so quite.

I just ordered the fabspeed straight pipes, excited to see how it sounds

Give me a ring when you have a chance, we can go over the different options available and come up with the ideal route to pursue for you. It'll been awhile, so we should catch up anyway haha
