Looking for used 944 parts in Ottawa
Good morning! This is a question for the local Ottawa 944 enthusiasts. I am looking to find out where the best source of used parts is in Ottawa. I am rebuilding a 1984 944 project. I am looking for a good cheap fuel rail and will need other bits as I continue work on it.
I am also wondering if there is someone local that has a timing belt tensioner tool that is willing to share their expertise when I change my belt? Thanks.

Thanks I will check the recall notice Gregster. I wouldn't have thought that Porsche would honour such an old recall.
I might try the Kijiji idea Plumbum. I did that before when I was looking for a TPS. At this point all I need is a fuel rail. I was a bit too agressive trying to remove the fuel line and twisted the inlet a "little"... I have the intake off to change the air oil separator seals and replace vacuum lines. It seems as though everything should be replaced.
Is there a 944 community in Ottawa? Thanks.

I had a client come in with his 944 to change motor mounts. Before starting I noticed the original lines were still on the car, very brittle and one was actually leaking just a bit. Went to order the lines and the guy at the dealer parts counter said "There was a recall in 1990 for that and that car was never done" After a few phone calls Porsche Canada quickly covered it. I was shocked myself!

nothing formal, the odd one or two show up for a coffee on Sunday but it would be great to get a few of us together..or even see of some of the Montreal 944 owners would be interested in meeting up half way once or twice a summer.

Thanks guys. Good tip for Whale Tail Turbodan.
I'm not there for cars and coffee yet. I am still up to my elbows in rust and grease. It's keeping me out of trouble at least.
