Central Florida Area
Hey Florida folks, I used to live in S. Florida but moved north of Orlando a couple years ago. Just curious if anyone has any good roads or drives they can suggest in the area? I am in Mt. Dora specifically and lots of little roads with curves and slight elevation changes...awesome. But wanted to hear from anyone that knows the area better and has suggestions. See u on the roads!

Best roads IMO are in Clermont....try 455 from Howey in the Hills to hwy 50 near turnpike. Theres a bunch more but thats a pretty good one.
From Mt Dora go down 19 to Altoona and then head East on 42 to Deland. When you get to 44 you could take a left and go to downtown Deland for lunch or coffee...nice little town.
Hope this helps.

437 and 458 are pretty good roads. Also towards Umatilla, near their airport is a pretty cool road that even has some banking. I have found a number of police in the area as well as bikers. Sugarloaf is also a pretty good one to drive as well as little acres road. Roads in and around Howey-in-the- hills usually pretty heavy patrolling and some low speed limits.
I use Eurotech in Longwood as well as Porsche of Orlando. I am told there is a new shop owned by a fan by the name of Michael Colon. I have heard good reviews about his place, which is in Longwood.

Thank you for the recommendations! We are Porsche specific, heavily involved in the local PCA community, and typically 40% less than the dealership across the board. All while using the same brand name (just not in a Porsche box) or exact OEM parts and fluids, with all work done by either myself or our second factory trained technician now working with us (both previously with Porsche of Orlando). We also offer full laser alignment, tire mounting and balancing capabilities on site, unlike most other independents in the area.

I'm new to the club, just picked up my first Porsche ('99 996 C2 Cab 6-speed) and I live in Mount Dora as well. Round Lake Rd (runs North/South), between 46 and Ponkan Rd has some nice dips and several banked curves, minimal police presence, but has some active farms along the route and some traffic from nearby neighborhoods. BUT, middle of the day on a weekday, or early on the weekends and it's simply beautiful.
