Hello Onami...yes it is a 993TT Polar Silver on black - hard backs - red belts...all original except for coil overs and clear corners. 94,000 KM...sold new at Downtown Fine Cars and in magnificent condition. No mods what so ever - original radio - two keys - books...nice solid car. Pretty pleased with it.

Well I guess the time it takes definitely is influenced by how big a cheque you are willing to write. 😉

Wow. The beginning of this thread I thought it was another guy trying to re-live his youth with a old smelly air-cooled.

You sir, pretty much just bought the holy grail of air-cooled.

In my humble opinion, do not believe any 'asking' prices and the cheer leading on all air cooled boards to the value of these cars. I sincerely believe we are our own worst enemies to driving pricing up - and where a hand full of dealers AND few like minded enthusiasts reaffirm crazy 'asks' on these things...which in my experience doesn't filter down to many people who write cheques for used cars I am afraid. Anybody with a sensible budget can buy a nice car today....and in the end my 'WTB' request presented me with 3 private opportunities which proved to lead me to two more which led to this car and a sensible conversation with the owner's representative. Calls and conversations I made to Canadian and American dealers two weeks ago are now being returned with terms like 'motivated' - 'inventory turn' - 'come to my senses' making its way into the conversation. An earlier comment on the board to these things being worth $ 5,000 and two years of lawn cutting was very funny - but I think touched on the euphoria in the market now waning where only the museum pieces should be driving the numbers we see. This is my third 993TT - though I do believe it will be my favorite and feel I got excellent value.

Well if you were going to get a 15k kms guards red for $75k then you must have got this one for $40k

But seriously congrats. Nice to be able to cut a check when you find what you want. Was it a Cdn dealer ie where in Cda currently has leaves on the trees??

Beautiful Overdraft...congrats! I'm starting to look for a 993 C2S or C4S now and it is good to hear that the crazy asking prices aren't always turning out to be crazy selling prices!

Congrats! Pretty much my car (but add 2 turbo's

I had the same requirement of wanting a Canadian car when searching. I don't know why, but the MPH speedo would always bother me. Found my C4S out west and drove it home.

You know you can get a new face put on it, right? It is indeed a bit irritating - I'm 7 months in on mine, and I'm still not used to it. I'm thinking of sending it out this winter to get it refaced for kms.

110% agree!....it was to me always a core fault in what were otherwise beautiful cars...just couldn't get my head around it. I did buy a new Range Rover (0 miles) in the US once (2008) when the dollar was $ 1.08 US and then put an Overfinch speedo mask and red needles showing KM - along with a nice body kit - on the car which was very easy and did cure that ill...and you could alter the odometer through the computer but not sure if I could ever do it to a 911.
