Default Alternator repair shop

Hello guys, looking for recommendations on an electrical shop that will repair alternators and starters. I am in Burlington, preferred area would be Burlington/Hamilton/Oakville/Mississauga but will of course consider Toronto and all the area between Burlington and Niagara Falls. Looking for reputable shop that will stand behind their work.

Trying to keep it local, I know I can get what I need from Rock Auto in the US

Thank you,

George

Oakville Starter and Alternator on Speers in Oakville. They have done several for me, good work and nice guys. You can mention my name, Adam with the 928's.

Another recommendation here.

Start Auto Electric Ltd.
401 Dundas St E, Toronto, ON
416- 868-1727

They did a couple of rebuilds for me (z4mcoupe, audi TT) and did a fantastic job. It was attention to details that I really liked as they replaced all the bolts/washers without reusing.

There's a place I went to on Arvin Rd. in Stoney Creek (QEW/Fruitland area, near Zorotech). Can't remember the name, but they rebuilt the alternator for my 72. Great work, great price.

These alternators are nothing special, so any local alternator rebuild shop can do them.

Thank you guys for your suggestions. Regarding Oakville Starter and Alternator at 427 Speers Road, their name came up yesterday on a Google search and I was just about to go there but saw one negative feedback and it was pretty bad. Came back home and posted the message on this forum to see what other options are available. In parallel a colleague highly recommended Black Brothers in Hamilton but they appear to have closed.

Only pissed off people post on Google. 1 bad comment means nothing. My office has more bad comments than you can shake a stick at and they are all lies for the most part. Problem is the happy customers almost never post reviews.

I have sent multiple friends to them and they have all had positive results as well.

OK, understood. All I can say is that I do read feedback whenever it is available, typically for hotels. Honest feedback is very important, when I buy on Ebay I always check the seller's rating. Guess we are all the same, we do not want to pay for something and then get screwed. I have seen feedback where the business owner has disputed negative feedback and provided his version of the facts. This is how it should be because I agree there is contentious feedback too. My 2 cents

Hi Rob, it is a Bosch 110 Amps alternator. As it turns out I replaced the rectifier, the brushes were way too short and it all works fine, I could measure voltage when turning by hand (which I did before installing it back in the car). On my old Audi 90Q20V sedan
