Suede or Leather Steering Wheel?
I'm about to order a momo mod 07 for my car. Options are to get it in either leather or suede.
Car is an '86 Carrera. It's used for a mix of street and track (maybe 10 days on track per year).
What's the consensus on which way to go? I've been warned against suede wearing prematurely, but am concerned leather will get slippy on track with my hands sweating. Then am told that the suede with sweaty hands will get hard and slick over time also.
Follow-up question, do you wear gloves on track? Suede wheel + suede gloves? Leather + leather?
Thanks!

For track only and gloves go with suede, no question. For something that sees a lot of dual use leather might be more durable. If you leave the suede in the sun it turns brown and using bare hands on it flattens the suede and it loses its grip.

Thanks everyone! Since it sees more street use than track, I've ordered the leather. In addition to less wear, it will complement the leather interior better.
I appreciate all the responses! On my future track-only car I'll go suede

If you can get hold of a 930S steering wheel for a good price, it makes for a great dual purpose wheel.
Had one in my 911 for 6-7 years when i was doing DE`s with Rennsport, although for racing , suede with a good pair of gloves is a no brainer !
