What I learned from this VIR video was where to go slow to go fast, he's really got it down in 2 places I was pushing too hard and losing time- between T4 and 5, and before the last turn. Exit speed is crucial in both places.

Well my best time from the 2016 PCA race was a low 53 and watching this makes me feel like I'm standing still. I'm just not able to hold my foot to the floor as long as he can thru the upper Esses. Also his speed into and thru hogpen is staggering.

OTOH... People like me end up flat spotting our cheap tires when following the inexperienced Cayman R PDKs (and we like to crow about that.) Perhaps I'll reallocate my pcar back to track or find a cheap *****/hairdresser car so I can keep up w you and the big B crew. 8)

This comes from examining hundreds of pros and talented ams over the last sixteen years at VIR (and other places) and identifying what common threads emerge. This IS one of those common executions that allows drivers to break through and gain substantive, permanent time gains.

Someone noted that Leh was "ahead of the car." That is a key concept that makes him appear to be an alien, when in fact he has it mapped out very, VERY well. He knows, before he gets there, how much the car is going to "give up" and takes that into account.
Again, it's not how fast you go, it's about "slowing less..."

Three Wheelin'
its seems he is watching in full color and 3D picture with amazing stereo sound while I watch a pixelated snow black and white tube screen with a crackling radio for audio that is a second late
