In my experience, NT01s are worthless in the wet, even when brand new. For DE, it would be nice to not have to deal with a set of rain tires.

Some told me that NT01s lasted longer than RE71. I agree that NT01s are dangerous in the wet ... I drove to COTA for the first PCA event years ago on brand-new NT01s and the backend of my car came out when changing lanes in the rain. No one was next to me and I correct it but scary ...

On my compromised 993 (street/track), I get 45 HC driving in advanced group before edges are corded or close to it. With better track alignment should be many more.
I haven't noticed perciptible drop in traction with wear. I set my best time at the Glen at the end of their life, but I'm still learning and improving esp at that track so who knows.

Let that sink in.
Tires last longer on lightweight cars. Got it.

Thanks everybody, lots of good info. I agree with the observations, # of cycles is function of how much to the limit tires are taken. I'm "killing" PSC2 in less # of cycles, difference is being consistently faster than before, they don't cord but they get significantly slower...
