REGISTER NOW: Andy Lally Advanced Driving Clinic 10/12 - 10/13 at TWS
Registration is now live, folks!
https://clubregistration.net/events/...m?eventiD=6849
Limited to a small number of cars, this event will feature two full days of literally open track. Magnus Racing's Andy Lally, four time winner of the Daytona 24, will drive all participant's cars, with the participant as passenger.
Data acquisition systems will be available to capture Andy's data for anyone who does not have data in their car.
In-car Coaches will be there to help review Andy's data and compare it to the participant's, and then ride with participants as requested to help everyone achieve their personal bests. When we did this event in late 2013, nearly everyone there came away with new personal bests!
Andy will lead track walks each day, showing how he analyzes and dissects a track in order to win.
Lunch provided each day, and a banquet dinner with Andy is included on Monday night. Andy will share his experiences with life on the professional driving circuit.
Requirements: drivers must possess a valid racing license or be Yellow, White, or Red with LSRPCA or their equivalent with other organizations.
Price $1500 all-inclusive for all the track time you can possible handle!
Questions? Contact mglobe, whose email address is in the registration link, or me at dave@racecoach.net

We're almost 1/3 full in less than one day. With the reduced car count compared to last time, there will be a lot more time for folks to interact with Andy, both in-car and out.

The whole event last year was a step function in learning for me. We're lucky to still have TWS available for holding such an event. It's a great track to learn on, and a great track to experience in general before they close it.

You can check out the previous Lally thread as the event created a lot of discussion, data, and videos. Feedback and video from that event starts here.
Lally drove a lot of cars that weekend. A smaller event should better. There was a policy at the last event that Lally would run with lights and flashers, and frankly it wasn't needed. I had no trouble telling it was him coming up in the rear view mirror - note he was swapping cars every 4-5 laps.
Like ShakeNBake, I learned a lot that weekend and set a new PB as well, even though I didn't get to drive all day Saturday due to car issues.
Highly recommended event and unique experience. My first impressions of that event are here and here. The M3 was street legal and on street tires.

Andy in my Spec996 putting down a 49.5. He had about 10 laps on the track at that point.

Wasn't he in a nascar this week? I need to ask him about that!

Quite possible. I saw him last year running a Nationwide NASCAR race at Road America in the rain. Even though he was invisible to the commentators, his performance as a last minute substitution was impressive. He moved up a ridiculous number of positions in the closing laps of the race and everyone who managed to get by him worked for it.

Bring her with you to one or both events. Hallett is a great place to hang out at even if you're not racing. My better half will be at both events. Track goes cold at 5:00. Wine bottles open at 5:00:01
