Default Nuerburgring VLN Series Pics | RSR, R8 LMS, Vantage (big post)

It's great being so close to the 'Ring. Better yet being able to attend racing events that don't cost anything to the spectator except their time if they choose to walk the North Loop (as I do).

Here are some pics I thought i would share from the VLN Endurance Series this past Saturday. Many cars in many classes from a wide range of model years but it seems it's always hard to stop the Manthey Racing 997 RSR.

Sorry in advance for the barage of photos and yes there are a few none Porsche cars...I've got a spot for cars that are just oh so sweet in race trim.

Lastly Nuerburg without a car in sight...

Just another day in paradise.

Here's some lap times, though I'm not sure they're "official." And I'm tired of these hot rod and "track-day special" cars positioning themselves as "production" or "street legal" in the same category as a 911, 'Vette, GTR, etc.

Well you won't be jealous for too much longer as my time here in Germany is almost up (11 years...) and we are headed for Oklahoma
But it has been great and since the wife is German we plan on trying to 'retire' back here in the future (15+ years from now!)

Thanks on the pics and yes I walked that far with a pack full of photo gear on my back. I had no clue it was that far out to a decent track side spot as I'm usually at the more easily accessible spots of the North Loop ex: Hocheichen
