Default PCA at Sebring 2008: race update

this just in, night racing rules. In the first night race, chris musante took the win with Charlie Boyer in 2nd. I had the pleasure of breaking my trans in the test and tune, so I missed the night race qual session. After getting a spare trans fedex'd down (you don't even want to know how much it cost) and some uber fast install by Dan Jacobs and crew, I made the night race grid. I had to start dead last (~60th spot) but was able to work up to 22nd at the end.

In the other night race, Leh Keen (kingleh) squashed the field, lapping up to 5th place. 2nd was Kevin Buckler and Glen Gaitlin (glen).

Colin:

Actually, Chris Dooley and I missed the grid later than you and we were dead last. We had worked our way up through the field when I was forced wide at the hairpin by a fellow racer and broke a header from the impact of the car going over the gator. Chris was advised in the pits when the race was stopped that he had passed under caution, much to his surprise. Very disappointing for both of us.

Colin,

Was that the same trans that broke at Road America? Sorry to hear about it.

Colin,

What happened to you in the night race. You passed me and then it appeared like you missed a gear in turn 13. I tried following you to pass the Firehawk car but would have punted you instead. On the back straight you again took off!

yep, missed 2nd...but I got it going again.

David, I did see a couple of cars come out of the pits behind me. Sorry to hear about you and chris...it was a major cluster the first 2 laps!

Yes, same failure as Road America. One of the bosses on the case that holds the clutch fork broke off. I had it welded at RA, but apparently, I should have replaced the front bell housing! Anyone have one they want to sell

Just a quick update for the GTC1 class at Sebring.

DrJupeman has achieved the new track record for the GTC1 class at Sebring, and he won the GTC1 class in today's sprint race. 38D came in second in class at today's sprint race.
