Very cool. What does the 'NT' on the CL cap mean?

Shop foreman's own notes. NT=Not Torqued.

He hasn't finished with the car yet.

That's clever. Are those 20" HREs or 21" in the back? I know RS guys have trouble finding 21" winter tires. Wondering how you solved it for the 918.

Thanks for sharing your story!

20" for the front and 21" for the rear, both 1" narrower than stock. 245/40-20 front and 275/40-21 for the rear. Pirelli Winter Sottozero Series II.

I was gonna use the Porsche spec winter 20" all around for the RS for the 918, but the hub center is of a different diameter, 918's is bigger.

Initially I was going to do custom HRE 20"s all around and use the RS tires, but a 20" wheel barrel won't clear the rear brake shield. So I had to go back to 21" and then there isn't a great selection of tires wit hate proper rolling diameter.

Another option which Porsche was doing in Finland was to mount the factory front wheels all around. The factory 20" front will clear the rear brake shield. In the end, going the custom HRE route is actually cheaper.

no. 16k€.
the insurance retention was 5% but minimum 18k€

doesn´t matter if a BMW 3 series, Ferrari 488, 918 or a 200ft aka 100m$ yacht - without market fantasy it comes down to 5-10% of the original price each year for using / having it.
i think your guy was exaggerating - I have had a replacement windshield after a freeway stone from car in front caused a small crack. Cost was <$4000 fitted at Porsche GB HQ.
(Also, New windshileds are exempt from the insurance excess in UK at least, and don't count as a 'claim')

Something one don't see everyday. Spark plug for the 918.

My car had it's 2nd annual service last month and changing the spark plugs is part of the intermediate service requirement.

This thing is tiny! I have small hands just for comparison.
