My 918 or at least a report of it

Not yet. I had requested but they still hasn't get back to me on winter tires availability. They 'should' have them soon, seeing they did a lot of winter testing on the car with winter tires.
Beautifully done Whoopsy! And I totally agree with you adding everything back... Quick question (and sorry if it's a bit silly, but you'll see where I am going here): does Porsche now officially offer snow tires for the 918? I thought you would know all this being up in Whistler territory. There was indeed a cross country trip on one here in Europe -- from Stuttgart to Valencia I seem to recall -- and they used improvised Pirelli winter tires for such a purpose. My CGT will soon be doing its winter hibernation as the weather here in Switzerland gets colder (already many of the mountain passes are getting snow) and I am feeling quite down about it -- big withdrawal symptoms. One obvious appeal of the 918 would be its versatility in the winter months (4wd, 4ws, reasonably light and low in comparison to other 4wd autos, massive stability control, and fast & fun on beautiful sunny days!). Note that in Switzerland you are not allowed to just slap on any old tire to a car -- it has to be officially approved (I had a fight with them over the new Michelin tires until Porsche approved them). So hence my question. Cheers, Steve

Weissach pack with every added back on, I mean everything, including door handles and door storage pockets and the gas strut for the front hood. Matted carbon dash with the acid green trim strip added back on also. All the $0 options, plus the electric heater and front lift.
Spyder wheels painted platinum silver.

Congrats on your car! I'm surprised to see you got the electric heater? From the information I was given, when the electric heater kicks in during e-mode/hybrid mode, the electric range shrinks down to like 2-3miles, which makes the e-mode really useless and you will be forced go into Sport/Race mode to kick the engine back on. But when engine is on, you get heat anyways. So I don't see the point of the electric heater.
This is why I ended up not getting it on my car, I wonder if you were told the same thing?

Seeing you are in LA, that function might be useless, but here, only the summer months are warm, so I will be using the heating function more.
I don't mind the reduced electric range, I mostly like it for the silence when I get in and out of my neighbourhood (I am a good neighbour)

You know, it is a fantastic car, I do not think for one bit you will be disappointed if you buy one. It is a completely different animal than the CGT.
Colour wise my car is pretty much standard, just an extra acid green trim around the matted dash and the acid green stitching on the steering wheel, outside of that, the interior is standard spec black with the standard acid green piping.
Well that and I have a set of 6-point in acid green, the 6-point is standard equipment for the Weissach pack. I think it should have came with the car, not installed as it's not road legal in Canada.
Also the corner lens will be changed to clear once it arrive at my dealership. (to comply with Canada legislations, amber is a requirement)

Just got a phone call that yes my car will still arrive in Toronto tomorrow night, but someone somewhere had decided that the car should be checked over at my local dealership instead of in Toronto, and the 918 technical specialist can't make it to my dealership until next Friday morning. Also conveniently, the equipment needed to PDI the 918 won't arrive at the dealership until late next week. So the new schedule is that my car will spend a lonely weekend in Toronto.
Officially, I don't take delivery until around the 14th Nov. The weekend it arrives in Vancouver I will be away in Whistler till past Remembrance Day, then the dealership will host a VIP party when I get back and then I can finally grab the car.

Congratulations. ......

On the 6 point belts, I would leave em in the box. Once fitted the can not removed, and they do flap around and make a fair bit of noise when not being used.....

Thanks for a great thread, by the way.
