spectacular!
a new Porscheunder 50K!
I paid $64 for mine

Back story - rewind to the fall - was looking at a q5 and macan for the wife. Wife drives 30-35,000 miles/year. She wanted a new car. I looked at gas mileage and cost and said we should get the q5. She did the "I spend a lot of time in my car" and I can get her what ever I think is better and the q5 is nice, but the macan is WOW. I told her she would hate the gas mileage and why don't we wait until Spring and see if Porsche put out the 2.0 macan - becasue it would be the perfect car. But she wanted her car now and said she could not wait.

Now I have a 9 month old $65K Macan with 25,000 miles and a bunch of dents and scratches that my wife complains gets bad gas mileage. She said we should just trade it in. I bet I would get $40K offer on a trade.

Point of story to OP - I wish I was you

After a couple of weeks of use the mileage has been better then expected. We are getting around 23mpg mostly around town and not even broken in yet.

Wow, that's impressive! Just got back from European Delivery on a Macan S. I drove 2500 miles of combined city and highway driving. My combined average was 19mpg. I was getting somewhere around 17mpg in town.

I just ordered a GTS, but I have to say that this is a very good value equation. I saw a build with Volcano Grey, Spyders, leather and that's it. Sticker was 54. Looked awesome. You give up a little performance but it's a known workhorse of an engine, good gas mileage. Nothing comes close in it's class, IMO.

How is the engine and power on the 2.0? There's a launch party at a local dealership tonight. I've driven the Macan S briefly a few times and been very impressed. Curious how the Macan compares. I saw the post above about HP and weight and certainly can't complain about the price you got and the gas mileage.

I should probably just swing by the dealership tomorrow and try one out myself...

Where did you see Macan GTS, I am assuming GTS, for 54?
I can't imagine GTS going for only 54, but then again I haven't looked at sticker prices.

No I saw a 2.0t for 54. And at that price point I thought it was a good value equation. Especially with the current discounting.

It's great, a step up from the Q5 and the PDK is a hoot. You should drive one and compare.

I have my Boxter Spyder in for some warranty work and was given a Macan 2. All I can say very impressive! Great acceleration. I want one.

Was going to order a Macan S after the first of the year for the wife but after reading this post I think we are going to go drive the 4cyc first to make sure. She currently has a Sequoia but with the kids grown up and not hauling ppl and crap everywhere anymore and her complaining about 13mpg that 20+ sounds pretty good.

I think I saw a Macan lease promotion for $599.

Dealer gave me Macan 2.0 to drive around today. MSRP was around $51K. I have one question for those who have driven the car. I noticed on acceleration that there was a lull (turbo lag?) and then it kicked in like a scalded cat. I don't know if this is a good thing or not. Might be hard to modulate the gas pedal? Has anyone else noticed this surge in acceleration?
