That sport button was a very smart move. Not that I hate the planet, but sometimes I want to drive 'spiritedly' for a few blocks in exchange for a little extra fuel, and then go back to normal commuting. Unfortunately that button doesn't exist on an 04.

Exactly. Anyone who steps out of a Boxster and into, well, about anything else, whatever they step into will suffer by comparison to how nimble and connected the Boxster is.
If I'm a smart dealer, I have a Tahoe and maybe even a standard suspension X5 available so my Cayenne people can drive those first.
