Default 955/957 Cayenne....is there supposed to be gas cap holder?

Is there supposed to be some sort of gas cap holder or slot on the inside of the fuel door? I couldn't help but notice there isn't one on my 08 Cayenne S....so I basically have to hold the gas cap while pumping. Thanks.

955 has it right on the inside of the door. It's just a little c-shaped **** that holds the tether.

Not sure about 957.

On my 09 truck, there is a small extension at the bottom that the cord hangs on.

You mean the cord attached to the cap? I have that.....I am just wondering where to hang it. I'll go look at it again....

Here is the inside of the gas flap....am I supposed to just let the gas cap hang down below from the tether? Seems like scratches waiting to happen......

If u put the strap on that hanger on the flap door.. The cap will be suspended in air and not touch the OCD cayenne owners precious paint.

Your gas cap door is soiled near the hinge.

I always liked the warning label about refueling with the engine running....

It might cause your MIL to turn on? MIL = Mother In Law?
I always thought the CEL (Check Engine Light) would turn on.

My mother in law is always turned on by refueling with the engine running. Don't tell my wife.
Seriously though. MIL = Malfunction Indicator Lamp.

I initially struggled with figuring out the gas cap holder too. I think the problem was I was expecting a more hi-tech or elegant engineering solution, at least based on my limited experiences with our other cars thus far (Benz and Civic).
