Question Anyone ever give a second thought to our "panamera" keys?

curious what the new Carrera and Cayman will come with next year, considering the 958 Cayenne's have Panamera's for keys...

I like the key but valet's are always looking for a Panamera and other Panamera owners are commenting if I like mine as well....

i understand the cost for developing key fobs, but sometimes i wonder why the choice was a panamera..

Maybe it was due to them being built at the same factory?

I really like it, it's a nice touch. I do wish you u had hold the trunk button for 2 secs to open the trunk, though. Worried I may accidentally open it at an inopportune time.

yeah, i thought the same since my garage is lower in some area's but i've never had it accidentally click.

i like the key, just not sure about it being a panamera... a different casing would be ideal... also its VERY difficult to get a good fitting keyring on it (that will sit flat in pocket)

i noticed the end that attaches to the ring actually comes out, i wonder if they make an end that turns the hole 90 degree's?

You can buy a tiny ring to attach in a perpendicular configuration (just few mm's) and then use a regular size ring which will sit flat in your pocket (parallel to the car shape)

Is it possible to have that key programmed to an 04 Cayenne? If so, I would love to buy one for mine.

would be cooler if there was a cayenne, as opposed to panamera, key. clearly a money saver for porsche.

Apart from that, nice thread

Which is why they are not recognized as proper Porsches.
Proper Porsches come from Stuttgart (or Zuffenhausen).

+1, MadFox!

As Bartender, can you change that drinking icon to a purple beverage?

The key is so huge already, I'm glad it isn't "Cayenne" sized -- I'd be happy if it was Boxster sized...
