Default Modding a porsche 944

Hey, I have a 1986 porsche 944 and decided that I want to increase the horsepower. Ive heard of LS1 engine and renegade hybrid, so I figured I'd go that route. I'm planning on installing a ls1 5.7 l 410 hp engine but I know this is too much hp for the stock parts of the car to handle.

What parts would I have to change and where can I find custom fit parts for it?

So far all I know that I need to change are:

Transmission
Axles
Brakes
Suspension

Are there anything else that I need to change for the car to handle the power?
Thanks

Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum area

That's already a lot of items you mentioned. Before you make this endeavor, have you considered just selling it as it is and moving up to a more powerful model? When you put a calculator on this it's cheaper to trade up. You can get truly sweet Boxster S and Cayman cars so reasonably, that I'm confident it would be cheaper to buy what you desire. That said, if you are set on this project, the best resource is renegade hybrids themselves. After all it's their conversion and they have done a few, they also might put you onto some guys who have already done one. There is at least one I've read about on here to maybe he'll see this and give you the advise you need.

PS I'd be surprised if the torque tube does not get switched in this conversion

TT is not the weak spot, gearbox is. You need turbo gearbox or gentle foot in first and second gear..

My son has a 951 that we are looking into doing this swap. Most kits come with mounts, adaptor plate, new clutch plate, they even have pre made headers for the swap. I have a great running ls6 from my race car that we want to use. They are pretty much figured out.

I did this swap three years ago. Kept blowing the 944 turbo motor and had too much money in safety and suspension mods to sell the car without taking a big $ loss.
Used a 430 HP LS 3 crate motor, GM ECU, stock 944 turbo trans. The parts that failed over three years with the new power were the strock LSD that I replaced with an O.S. Guiken, and the CV joints which were replaced with Lindsay HD axles. Oh, and up garde the brakes.
The car is a blast to drive and one of my buddies who has been around the car through the conversion and upgrades converted his 944 S2 to LS power this winter. Hope this helps.
