Maybe I'll post my video where I am talking with him through the open window - at least the audio would be there.
So Aryork and I have exchanged PMs at it looks like the corner worker probably did not see me coming up and gave him the all-clear. There was no flag before the esses so I was going FULL-TILT!

I am super glad no one got hurt.

I still think this is a good teaching moment to keep your eyes up and watch the corner workers!

Tail end of my discussion with the corner worker (this is from a dashcam that is inverted, thus the upside down writing):

3 of my friends and I were there, it's always a great event. I was excited to instruct a driver with a GT4 but with his harness bar we could not move the seat far enough back for me to fit, so I got a GT3 driver in blue instead. Since my 997 is semi track prepared my GT4 stays at home. I did go out a few times in other groups and the GT4s looked good out there.

Posting this here, because it's VIR.

I'm trying to go to this 3 day track weekend at VIR - anyone else?

There will be plenty of GT4s there I'm sure. I would go but 1) moving son's stuff from college dorm that weekend, 2) my car will not be fixed by then, and 3) not enough time between now and then to convince wife that doing DE events is not a form of "natural selection"

I'm going and am also on the FSR DE Committee so please let me know if you have any questions at all. We run an organized but relaxed event, and are thankful we got this May weekend back on our schedule!

Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I need to stay closer to home, so going with Chin at Road Atlanta that weekend. Much rather go three days with FSR and looks like a great deal... but I guess it'll be another time. Have fun!
