First Timer - 2017 or low mileage 2015
I've waited a long time to buy my first Porsche and am getting close to pulling the trigger. I had been focused on ordering a 2017 Cab4S but found that as i wanted it built, the sticker was close to $150K, which gave me some pause. I found a 2015 with basically all of the options i was previously scouting out - PDK, sport exhaust, sport chrono, leather interior pkg, Premium plus and a bunch of nice cosmetic additions i wouldn't have elected to pay for but all of which are nice. the car has LESS THAN A THOUSAND MILES ON IT plus CPO warranty. being that i can buy this car for less than $110K, a $40k savings from a new one, i am seriously considering. I am well aware of the new engine, etc on the 2017, however i don't think i will feel short changed. Does anyone else think this is a very good price/option for me?

Can't speak for others, I prefer to let someone else take the first depreciation hit.
If the 2015 has what you want, I'd save the $40K. That's ballpark 30% savings.
You'll enjoy the car same the more expensive one.
