MXL2 Odometer Channels
It looks like my week for tons of questions...
Does anyone have any documentation of the MXL2 Odo channels?:
Odometer and OdoTot Time seem self explanitory
Odo Dist1/2/3/4
Odod Time1/2/3/4
Thanks,
Greg

The distance and time 1/2/3/4 are just for user resets. You could use them for things like total event distance, year distance, test distance, etc. I believe you can rename them as well. It's a nice way to keep track of mileage for specific things. I don't use those as much as I do it in raceartracking.com.

In historic cars and some others with specified, recommended service intervals, I recommend the use of these frequently. Also, along with the odos, it is possible to build simple math channels to track service life of brake pads, individual gears (for many of the cars I work with, the numerically lower gears have a shorter service life), transaxle and engine oil fluid changes, valve adjustments and the like. In the MXL2 dash, you can use this for ChumpCar or AER driver mileage. All kinds of things.

Much better than using the odos to track most things, use Racecartracking.com. It will automatically calculate all the mileage and time on configured items, versus having to track everything in a spreadsheet or log book. It automates the process and saves huge amounts of time.

Read the post more carefully, grasshopper! I said "along with the odos..."
Another tracking solution is not needed besides John Block's excellent math, IMO. Certainly not yet another program to enter and save information in for the Solo driver/engineer...

You need to check out www.racecartracking.com better and understand how it works. There is no additional work. In fact, it's easier than what you have proposed. It does all the time/distance calculations, records, and even tells you when to do things automatically. It's the only way for the solo driver/engineer to do it, IMHO. Work smarter, not harder.
