Default Spec-Boxster Racing

Jim Pasha's article in the latest Excellence was very interesting. Will PCA, POC or NASAS take the bait? Sounds like a great spec race catagory.

I'm willing to bet that PCA and NASA will take the category. Much similar to Spec 944, the Boxsters will have limitations regarding modifications. Right now I bet they're working the kinks out to start this great new class

There are some people trying to set it up at POC, see their forum if you're interested.

That Spec Boxster article Jim Pasha wrote really got me thinking. I've been thinking about running a Boxster in PCA G class or NASA's GTS series, but the spec class sounds like a whole lot of fun.

LAst nights meetings went very well. started at 6:30pm. and we didnt finish until 11Pm. we covered ALOT of ground. we had reps from PCA andNASA,SCCA. The goal is to create a spec class that will allow ANYONE to run a 2.5L Boxster in all 4 clubs. The main reasons that the 2.5L boxster was chosen was for price and that porsche made 116,000 of these cars in 3yrs. We will have another meeting soon. So if you want to attend please watch this board or the Porscheownersclub.com board. I do have some prelim rules. If you want to see what we have so far. please email me at "theporscheguru@yahoo.com" for a copy of the rules.

BTW- I think that GT-2 Boxster pictured is Gary Wigglesworth's car, of Translog, York, PA. Gary is A Master of 914s, and knows how to make anything go fast!
