Default Porsche Racing Green

I am contemplating a Turbo S in this color. I think green is a hard sell car but I am curious if others agree. Would this color deter a person from buying, would one expect a "color discount"?

I don't think it is very common but neither are a lot of colors. My 07 Turbo was Atlas Grey, not common but an awesome color.

Should a person buy a Porsche Racing Green car??

Thanks
Bill

My thought is....Buy it if you like it. I will say it is a "unique" taste and likely not as broad of a crowd when selling. I personally would not want that color, but some will love it.

But again...If I wanted it and liked it, I would buy it and enjoy it....If you are more worried about resale than enjoying it, then get a popular/common color....

My 2 cents...

Same here. Colour discount only applies for garish interiors IMO. if it works, it will become a colour premium as the car ages.

Since you are posting in the 997 forum I assume you are buying used. In that case if you think there would be a discount when you finally sell then there should be a discount when you buy, no?

A color discount is always possible, more important is how well the color is executed. Also was it trendy - BMW for awhile had frozen colors that were a premium option new but I bet haven't aged well.

Personally I agree with the other postings, buy the color that makes you happy.

Can you post a pic of that particular color? Someone on here bought a stunning greet Turbo S here 1 year ago and I seriously considered it as well. GREAT COLOR. I'm guessing racing green is a TOTALLY different color though, and much different.

The 997 was also offered in Olive Green Metallic, which was great.

Yes, that's the color car that a fellow Rennlister bought a year ago in CA. Great color and desireable. I would have bought it in a second if the interior was black and it was a bit closer to Maryland. He LOVED the color he got as did others here.

Just liking a color isn't enough. If you love it then buy it.

I dig it. But if/whenever you intend to sell it, I think you need to be ready to take a while to come across the right buyer.

Best of luck with your decision!
