Thats a good find. The only other option here is to replace the AC switch which is expensive or find an Ebay surplus.

There is another new option that is being discussed on the NA 997 forum. could be the same, not sure.

Fwiw, my 08 doesn't have the soft touch and therefore I don't have this issue
