07 Turbo @ Porsche Colorado Springs is 66k. Similar miles and specs i think.

That one's Tiptronic, which means a pretty decent reduction from a 6spd price.

With PCCBs, I'd think jugar's car should be low $70s, maybe high $60s, give or take.

Yep, on the used market, Tiptronic pricing is about $5K less than 6speed, all other things being equal, even though the Tip MSRPs were probably a little higher back when both were new. There are enough people out there that would never, ever own a Tip, and the market reflects that.

Lots of people are seeking the '09 because it is the Mezger but with the updated PCM. And yours has very, very low mileage which matters to some buyers. Not sure of your options, but most people with your car would be asking between $80K-$85K to test the market, and upper $70s if looking to make a fairly quick sale. Personally, I see no big difference between a car with 20K miles or one with 40K miles provided both have been serviced regularly, so if I were shopping, I'd take the one with 40K because it'd probably be over $10K cheaper for the same thing... but I realize that I'm not "most" Porsche buyers and understand that an almost 8 year old car with 20K miles is worth a premium to a lot of people.

The better questions are a.) why aren't you guys driving your cars and b.) why are you selling! Lots of great examples mentioned in this thread alone.

For me, a 911 is a second car that I would drive once, or twice a week -- likely in spurts of 20-30 miles at a time, maybe a few longer sprints here and there. That would probably equate to about that mileage over 8 years. So people like me are driving them, just as a quick/fun weekend car.

I would not hesitate to buy a 911 with 40k on it, and agree with vbb that I would prefer to spend $10,000 less as long as the interior/exterior condition of the car is very good and the maintenance history is there. In some cases though, the price difference is greater -- even nearing $20,000 in some cases between a car with say, 20's, to a car with 40's. Usually though it's a case of comparing a private sale vs a dealer sale. I would prefer not to have an 09, as I don't want to pay a premium for PCM technology that's outdated already (I'd just install a Tranzit Blu HF for $150), and will only get worse.

Only reason I haven't bought yet is because I haven't found the right car. I'm trying to find a 997 6MT TT (black or guards red), with the black/terracotta interior, or natural brown, sport chrono, porsche emblem in headrests, and with PCCBs. Looking to pay in the very low 70's / high 60's with under 50k on the ODO. Came across one but was heavily modded and priced in 90's, so passed.

You're right... sometimes the difference between 20K-25K miles can be more than $10K. That is insane to me, but it is a fact. I have a hard time conceptually with the feeling that a 8 year old car with 20K miles is somehow worth so much more than an 8 year old car with 40K miles. It would sort of make sense if a major $10K maintenance item was due, but even the major maintenance intervals with Porsche are not that expensive. Even more to the point though, some of those 40K mile cars have already had the maintenance done, so the price difference makes even less sense.

20K miles in 8 years is only 2500 per year, which is very, very low. I get that most people don't daily these cars and put 15K/yr on them... I don't drive it that much either... but 40K-50K miles on an 8 year old car is only "high mileage" speaking relative to other 997TTs.

Good luck on your search by the way. I've never desired a red car, but I'd have to say Guards over Natural Brown is one of my favorite color combinations for this car!

You have such great prices in the US. 997TT's were $360-400k new here and right now a manual 997.1TT would go for around AUD$170k (Australia)

Beautiful car car with all the right options. The new owner will be getting a great car. All the best

If anyone is interested, Ron Tonkin in Portland has a 2007 6MT w/38k miles for sale for $69,000 in GT Silver. Seems a bit on the high side, but I think they just got it in last week. Would rather have one of these Rennlister's cars for that kind of $!

I think a asking of $79,995 has a better ring to it. I wouldn't take less than mid $70s for your car.
1 owner/non-modded 6spd Coupes are getting difficult to find. GLWS.

Beginning to like the 997.2 non Mezger model with the PDK transmission. If I was buying all over again, I would skip the 997.1TT.

Since everyone is now talking price on this thread......

If it sells right away, you're not being "cheeky" with the asking price.

If it sits for more than a few days, then it's being perceived as overpriced.

Simple as that

I know people like to say that but it's simply not true. What is overpriced to some is priced perfect for someone else. You just need to wait for that 'someone else'.

Long time ago I sold my Lotus Esprit. Wanted 'top dollar' as it was a perfect car.
I advertised it for several months and no takers. Removed add during winter, relisted in spring for even more and it sold for asking within a month or so.

Yesterday I sold a Cannondale racing bike for ask after it had been listed since July. Several offers from the start but stubborn as I am, wanted full ask. The guy who bought it yesterday was so happy he got it. Me too.
