What year 997 turbo are you modding?

Are you adding a secondary fuel system to supplement the factory dfi (if you are in fact working on a dfi Porsche which is sounds like you may not be).

You guys are confused. 997.2 are direct injection motors and have a low pressure regular pump as well as a high pressure DFI pump. Its the DFI pump and DFI injectors thqt have no upgrades on the 997.2 and its a completely different beast. 997.1 has no DFI pump and uses normal port fuel injection injectors so its way easier there to upgrade.

Correct, but the fuel pump should still be upgradable. Double checked, and injectors are not available (yet), not sure if it will be worth the hassle since e85 is hard to get. BBI has a map for e85 (and the 997.2) so ill check with Betim and see what they've done.

Surgeon, TP has been wrong the entire thread.

The low pressure pump isn't the issue wit the 997.2, the high pressure pump is...and as I said there is no upgrade.

I was (am) under the impression that there are 997.2's running e85. If I'm wrong so be it, and the e85 option is kinda off the table then for my build. Considering that BBi is having a e85 map for the 997.2 I thought corresponding hardware was already made. If that is not the case I'd probably won't try to see if the current pump and injectors can handle the fuel demand.

You can run E85 on a 997.2 with the stock hardware...

Of course you can run E85 on a 997.2 and as I said you guys ARE confused. No one said you can't run E85 on a 997.2 that'd be dumb. The issue is because you need to flow more fuel and you're already limited even with gasoline when it comes to making power you'll run out of fuel even sooner with E85 and make LESS power because you can't flow enough to support it. Go learn a little on E85 before you come here and argue, jeez!

Hence me suggesting larger pumps and injectors, which I thought was out there already, but apparently isn't. The whole point was to see if you can run e85 with the DFI motor to make more power. Obviously.

Seems to me we all have very different conversations. There is also no need to get your panties in a bunch over this.

You keep talking injectors again like its not direct injection. Its a completely different beast with DFI and injectors are not happening.

Noted. I wonder if anything can be upgraded then at all when it comes to the fuel delivery. In any case, looks like e85 is not worth the hassle.
