HG Motorsports TECHART 997 GT3 Noselift - Front Axle Lift System Install Project

Here is a recent HGMS project on a Porsche 997 GT3. The owner of this GT3 had already smashed up the lip of the car a bit, and who knows if this is even the first one. I’m not sure of the exact details, but I think his problem was with a steep driveway. Regardless, this is likely the story with many 911 owners. Steep driveways = hurt.

Just last fall we were going to install a front hydraulic lift kit into a Ferrari FF.
Unfortunately, at least at the time, Novitec didn’t have a perfectly-fitting system for that car… so the idea was ditched.

Luckily however, TECHART makes a Noselift Front Axle Lift System for various 911s, in this case it’s a 997 GT3.

The lift system works with the push of a button and lifts the front of the car up an extra 2” in mere seconds. In the video we made to demonstrate the kit in action we stop the car before lifting. However, you don’t have to stop. You can just lift as you approach. The system works as long as you are under 37MPH and can even be set to lower itself after you clear an obstacle and are picking up speed again.

Here is is with the system lowered.

Here it is with the system raised

The system fit perfectly, and while the installation process is not a walk in the park, Alain Alba (our tech with the coolest projects) put everything together in excellent time -- All flawlessly.

And about the way it works… Flawlessly as well.

For full effect, I’m including a couple of nice pretty pictures of the car to go along with the build photos.

I say that for many, this can mean the difference between being able to own a Porsche or not. So… if you’ve been on the fence because your driveway is too steep… Or you have a 911 and never drive it anywhere for this reason, this could be the solution for you.

If you are interested, feel free to write me at dcruz@hgmotorsports.com (Danny) - Or call our tuning studio at: +1.619.504.8140 – We’re in Sorrento Valley in San Diego by the way.

Here it's lowered. See how it can barely make this bump, let alone bigger ones.

The here it is raised. 2" might not sound like a lot but it goes a long ways for clearing speed bumps and steep driveways. If you need more than that, you might need a truck.

Here's a video of the results. We made the video as we felt it better illustrates what's going on than just using photos:

Lastly, here is a blog post about this project on the HG Motorsports website:

A lot easier than carrying the three 2X4 boards out from the garage to the end of my driveway, then parking, and returning them to the garage, and doing it over again when I return. But does cost about 6 bucks.

Nice set-up you have developed, and the car looks really good too.

Off to Daytona in four hours.

all the best...

^^^ Hi, thanks for the interest. Nope. This was not THAT much. At least not for the 997 GT3. Would have to check for a 991, but I still don't think it would be as high at $10K. For exact pricing, PM us or write me an email dcruz@hgmotorsports.com, but ballpark, take a good couple grand off that price you mentioned.

I love this mod although feel that buying a few new lips to replace periodically just makes more sense than blowing around $5-6k on this setup

cars with axle lift from the factory! win win!
