What needs to happen is a partnership between Chris, Leno and INDE motorsports park along with a residency program. This would allow production of one 30 minute video per week at a cost of about 100K per week. I think 5 million quid a year should be doable between these guys and over the years this could become the real top gear based in USA.

Fantastic Piece. much thanks for posting it.

Somebody should ****** up Harris quick as he is pure automotive journalism gold. He is a free agent. Somebody give him what he needs and start rolling film!

Basically his outlook on cars and his "illness" for them is what all of us who are deep, deep into the hobby share.

His explanation for multiple car purchases make total sense to me as i can totally relate and for those who question our insane car hobby addictions would perhaps better understand after seeing this interview of a confessed car addict.

I thought Chris Harris was very well spoken and has a real understanding of why autos are so mesmerizing for so many of us. I think he could talk for hours and I'd be interested in what he was saying. On the other hand I thought Joe Rogan seemed like a nice enough guy but didn't add that much to the conversation.

I was about to say, at least there would be some real comradery between this mix of Blocks compared to that train-wreck of a show they call "Top Gear" that appears on the history channel. I absolutely refuse to watch that show and when I tell people that "The Real Top Gear" appears on BBC America I receive a funny look. Oh how Ignorance is bliss... sometimes!

I don't know who the Clown was who decided to put together the cast for the American version but it's a good thing their life's ambition wasn't to become a Chef!

Sad to hear that he's having trouble paying the bills being a video journalist.

As smart as he is, I think he could do better leveraging his worldwide notoriety than begging for money. I think it's sad that a music artist has the 1st world infrastructure to enable them to make money now, and post death, on their creative works, and Chris does not...at least not that he seems to have explored.

Exactly. I just donated the fee I was paying for Drive + via Patreon.
Let's live vicariously through him, me either could afford the 4.0 and he put it well. box marked. But he had me at W124 500E.

Watch the latest review on YouTube of his FF. He put 45k down and financed the rest via Ferrari finance.
