Its a no brainer on white because cup car. It also looks amazing on black.

Probably not. Neither is my missing front license plate, maybe my ride height, and who knows what else. Most of these tend to be $0 or small $ fix it tickets.

I don't see how it would be illegal if people can get away with smoking or tinting their tail lights.

As been stated, it doesn't affect the output so much (maybe 10% loss) but the temperature of the light, e.g.the color of the light decreases. I don't drive much at might so its not an issue
