Default Carrera S brake caliper trade for stock red...

I know its a longshot. I purchased a modified 997s that had the original calipers powdercoated light green. They are really clean but I would prefer the stock red. Instead of stripping them and refinishing them back to red, I figured that I would see if anyone wanted something different and trade their original red "S" calipers or even black if they have the same ones in black???

I think it looks minty cool with the silver, I would leave it green.

It's not that easy drivin green
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold
Or something much more colorful like that

It's not easy driving green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
Not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky

But green's the color of Spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important
Like a mountain, or tall like a tree

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful
And I think it's what I want to be... "KTF"

I'd keep'em.

Yeah, I actually like those.

I'd probably change them to a true pastel mint green, though.

Wow...and the rest of the car is so nicely done, too.

I learned long ago when doing artwork that when you get to the point where you think that one more brush stroke will finish the job, stop before you do it. It's perfect the way it is.

I think those calipers were that extra brush stroke. The previous owner should have stopped before he did that.

At least he powdercoated them. They'll be durable and you'll have green calipers forever.

The 2012 911Turbo S 918 Spyder Edition came with Green calipers so maybe the PO wanted the "look".

Doubt he was going for the 918 or hybrid green look. From all I've gathered, that's closest to birch green. Doesn't look like signal green either.

I think you should add silver polka dots to them.

Your green calipers indicate that your vehicle is a hybrid. They would pair very nicely with a "Hybrid Synergy Drive" badge on the back.

I think the green calipers are nice... I like them! I don't like them enough to trade for my yellow PCCB brakes, but I think they look great on your car!

I acutally like them too. Get some RUF 997 guages with the green logo and numbers and it will tie the inside to the outside.

I wouldn't think it would be too hard to find someone that wants them. Maybe post a WTT ad in The Marketplace if you haven't already.

Also, the title of this thread is a lttle misleading - I think it should say "Looking to trade Custom Green Carrera S calipers for Red S Calipers". When I read it I thought, "Stock S Calipers are red, why is he wanting to trade them for the same thing?"
