Strange noise left front end

Strange noise left front end
My 2010 911 c4s is make a strange noise in the left front end occasionally when I drive over a bump. My car has 10 k miles and has been basically pampered.
I will be taking it into the shop but was wondering if any had any ideas of what it could be. It sounds like a clanking noise and it does not do it all the time.

Hold your foot lightly on brake as you go over bump. If you don't here the clanking it is likely a loose brake pad. If you still hear it you have something amiss in suspension. Get it on a lift. Check trunk?

There is a joint in the front suspension that can get moisture and then rust, causing a noise over bumps and driveway approaches. I think they call it an "A" arm but I can't remember. Only fix is to replace and then an alignment. This happens to even low mileage cars, as driving them helps remove moisture and not let rust start. Hope this helps, and sorry for the issue. Mine cost about $500 inc alignment.

Have the car checked over for safety. My 2oo6 continues to make strange new noises. I pay attention and have them checked, but understand that older cars make noises. Come to think of it so do I.
