I'll keep the post updated with how they are doing. I'm not really convinced they will shred and peel that fast, but, we'll see! Stickers or not, looks 100 times better than they did at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.

BTW - if you follow the link to the DIY on planet-9 you can see what it looks like with no decals. That guy painted his own switches and didn't bother with the icons. IMHO I don't like the no-icon look since all of the other buttons have icons.

To be honest, I did not realize they were stickers when I sent them off for refinishing. Curious to know how your project came out. If you managed to make it work, you've probably got a good little side-business there if you so choose! :-)

One year in and the switches still look perfect.

I recently found a solution for my Cayman, same problem with the peeling *****... I´ve been using this solution for the last 3 months and I´m happy with the result. This is a European company but they do send to the U.S. as far as I can tell

www.climarepair.com

This is my A/C before and after I installed the climarepair kit:

By the way, anybody know if the PCM ***** (on/off and volume) can be pulled off?

You talk about the Stickynomore or the climarepair kit? I´ve been using the climarepair on a daily basis (always turno on and off the air conditioning when I start the engine) for the las 10-12 weeks with no issues

And this is how they look at night with the welcome lights on and the Instruments light off:

For some reason now the links show a reduced sized picture

Will try to fix that later

Cheers

I rubbed mine off really well with goo gone and then painted all black. Surprised you guys don't just do it that way.
